Does porting your stock LS heads make sense when you are going to add a turbocharger to the mix? The easy answer is yes. And the easy answer is no. Why both? Well, it kind of depends on what you are doing with your combo. Generically speaking we are always saying that the more power you can make from your combo naturally aspirated, the more power you will make once the boost is added to it. But what if you don’t want, or need “max” power? If you are just looking for a fun boosted combo that makes 650 to 750 horsepower, then do you really need to spend the time and money on ported heads?
